Do's & Don'ts to obtain maximum nutritive value from food

In our daily procedure of life to obtain the maximum nutritive value from foods, it is necessary to observe the simple rules of procedure for preserving, cooking and serving foods as indicated.
1. Using baking soda (This destroys vitamins), so don’t use baking soda.
2. Don’t put article in cold water, while cooking use hot water.
3. Use sufficient water for cooking and make sure its not in excess.
4. Don’t cook food for too long time, just 15 min is enough for cooking the food.
5. To get enough nutritive value serve hot food immediately after cooking.
6. Avoid storing vegetables in hot place.
7. Don’t discard the leaves of vegetables like radish, knolkol, onion, etc. make use of leaves of green vegetables.
